The visibility was very poor around Usagidaira Terrace because of the thick fog. However, I could see the blue sky and peaks of Northern Alps during on Alpen Quad, as a skier told me. The fog broke up in Upper Kurobishi, Usagidaira and Riesen Grat and people went toward Grat Quad one after another.

The top of the ski area was over the clouds. Many people took photos of Northern Alps and when I started to ski down, I felt like I went into the clouds. The beginning part of Riesen Grat was nicely firm and there was light fresh snow on the slope.

In the lower part, many people skied into the ungroomed area on the skier’s left. The amount of the fresh snow was about 25cm and it was very fluffy!! The groomed slope was also nicely soft and I found experts skiing and snowboarding down smoothly with a shouts of joy.

When I came to Usagidaira, the groomed slope was nicely firm. Panorama Course was a little hard and I heard the edges of gears scratching the slopes. People from Aichi Pref. gave me the watchword, “We always enjoy your reports!”
