Dry snow was falling at the upper area of the slope and covered with the fog this morning. Gentle northern wind was blowing and it was chilly, so when I was standing with the camera, I was frozen. Luckily, the fog sometimes disappeared.

The run along Kurobishi Quad, southern part of Usagidaira and Panorama were well-groomed and nicely firm with powdery snow condition. The edges of my skis worked well and I could turn as I wanted. For more information, skiing has been restricted on Riesen since this morning due to the “Nagano Ginrei National Athletic Meet” held from Feb. 14 (Tue) to Feb. 17 (Fri).

Skyline Course was also flat and firm well. Sometimes, Skyline Course was also covered with the fog but it didn’t disturb skiing. There was 3-5 cm of fresh snow on the non-groomed area with many tracks.

When I skied down to Skyline 2 bottom lifts station, I was under the clouds. The run along Kitaone 3 and the forest course through Kitaone were also flat and nice. Nice condition with powder snow led to Sakka. There were big moguls covered the steep slope of Kitaone.
