The sky was thinly overcast, but we had the warm sunlight in this morning. From today to Feb. 17 (Fri), “Nagano Ginrei National Sports Festival” is held in Riesen Slalom and Nakiyama (Opening Ceremony on Feb. 14). The participants were practicing hard from the early morning and I met many people with racing skis.

The south part of Usagidaira was groomed well and in good condition. Skis ran well, so experts made turns with high speed again and again. Although it was not so cold today, the snow remained good and dry.

Because Nakiyama No.3 Triple, Happo No.1 Pair, Riesen Quad, Gondola, Kokusai No.3 Pair and Panorama Pair started the operation earlier than usual for the participants of National Sports Festival, so Panorama was covered with ski tracks already at around 8:30 a.m. However, the slope was still flat and nicely firm.

Olympic Course Ⅱ was firm and Shirakaba was nicely firm as well, and there were many skiers practicing hard. At “Nagano Ginrei National Sports Festival”, Alpen Skiing, Jump Skiing and Cross Country Skiing are held in Happo-one, Hakuba Jumping Stadium and Hakuba Snow Herp.
