When I got off the Alpen Quad it was above the clouds and the sea of clouds were seen at the east. The upper part of the ski area was chilled strong to -10 degree, and the snow was in a good powdery condition. The wind blew weakly but the sunshine was comfortable.

The run along the Kurobishi Quad and south of Usagidaira were groomed very well and the edges of skis were working so well that I could make the turns as I imagined. The non-groomed run along the Kurobishi 3 was packed by the snow blown by the gale and it was almost flat.

Sometimes the fog covered the area but it didn’t disturb the skiing. The groomed run of Skyline Course was nicely firm and it was comfortable to ride speed. The run along Kitaone 3 and forest course in Kitaone were also flat and I could ski easily.

5 people gave the watchword, “We always check the reports.” A woman, 3rd from left, is the staff of Yamagami Ramen located along Route 148. It is one of best ramen restaurants in Hakuba and Yamagami Shoyu Ramen and Chuka Soba are recommended menu. The runs at the bottom area, like Shirakaba and Sakka, are also in a powdery condition.
