It was blowing a gale in the upper areas for 2 day in a row. Only Shirakaba 1 & 2, Nakiyama 2 & 3, Sakka 2 & 3 started the operation from 8 a.m. as usual in weekdays. Many people gathered to Shirakaba and Nakiyama as for consideration of start of the gondola and Riesen Quad.

Many experts skiers and snowboarders, including the instructor of Happo Ski School, were skiing snowboarding beautifully at Shirakaba. I could make the sharp turns comfortably on the flat & nicely firm run.

Soon Happo 1 started working and Usuba area (lower area of Riesen) was opened and the run was groomed beautifully. The weather was recovering as the forecast said and Riesen Quad & Sakka Kitaone Quad started working from 10 a.m.

Hakuba Happo Onsen (Happo-no-yu, Sato-no-yu, Obinata-no-yu and Mimizuku-no-yu) are located at the base of the Hakuba Happo Ski Resort. Onsen (hot spring) quality is simple alkaline and it is effective for neuralgia, muscular ache, arthritis, bruise and fatigue
