Because of the radiative cooling, we had the blue sky in the cold air. In the firm groomed slope of Usagidaira, Mr. Yamagami who made the reports of Wanaka (New Zealand) showed his skillful skiing. The fluffy spray of snow told the good condition of the slopes.

2 people from Mie Pref. cheered me, “We enjoy your reports every day!!” All of the groomed slopes in Usagidaira, Kurobishi, Panorama and Riesen Slalom were in fine condition. By the way, the beginning part of Riesen Slalom was groomed so widely that there was no ungroomed area.

I climbed up to the top of the ski area by Grat Quad which was open earlier than usual (Opening time is 9:00 a.m. on weekdays, 8:30 a.m. on weekends). It was blowing down a cold wind from Northern Alps and the upper part of Riesen Grat was very firm. The lower ungroomed area was covered with soft and shallow bumps.

The best today was the slope along Kurobishi No.2 Quad. The run was softer than the other areas and edges of my skis worked very well. Skyline Course was nicely firm, so I could make turns comfortably.
