The clear blue sky was spread and because of the radiative cooling, it was cold in the early morning. But it was windless and so I could spend more comfortably than yesterday. In the east and south direction, the view of Mt. Azumaya, Mt.Asama, Yatsugatake mountain range and in the northeast, Mt. Hiuchi, Mt. Amakazari, Mt.Myoko and Mt. Togakushi were beautiful.

The snow condition was nice and powdery! The runs of southern part of Usagidaira and along Kurobishi Quad No.2 were groomed nicely firm. I could make the turns as I imagined.

The slopes of Panorama and Riesen Slalom Course was flat and moderately firm and it was in great condition. The run of Usuba, at the bottom of Riesen Slalom, was bit hard because of the artificial snow.

From the summit of the ski area I could see Hakuba Sanzan very near and it was very impressive. The visitors can’t help oohing and aahing when they saw this beautiful scenery and they were taking the picture with their smartphones or cameras. It was sunny and many people were going to backcountry skiing.
