The visitors waited at Alpen Quad to ski on the powder snow, but after the announced had made that the lift will delay because of the strong wind, they gave up to ski there, and went to Panorama and Riesen Slalom. Luckily, the strong wind stopped soon and the lift at the upper part began to work from 9:35 a.m.

The groomed slope of Riesen Slalom was covered with 20 cm fresh snow. And there were the knee high fresh snow on the non-groomed area along the gondola line. The snow was falling very heavily especially from this morning, and my wears got white when I was standing for a while to take the photos.

At the bottom area the snow was falling as much as at the upper area but the wind became weaker. From Riesen to Nakiyama, the fresh snow was a little bit heavy. And the popular Riesen became rough after an hour.

According to the official weather forecast, today was -6 degrees, but the temperature became lower during the daytime, and I felt cold. In addition, there was fog, so I couldn’t see the surface of snow too much. In such a difficult condition, the visitors from Atsugi, Kanagawa talked to me with smile. By the way the early morning operation will be held tomorrow for the first time this season.
