From the middle to the upper part of the ski area was covered by thick fog. The weak wind was blowing and snow was falling. It was pretty cold this morning against the forecast and my hands were freezing when I was holding the camera. These people came from Osaka pref. gave me the watchword “We always check your report.”

I headed to Riesen Grat Course that opened yesterday. The strong wind was blowing and a bunch of clouds were coming and going away repeatedly. The beginning of the course was groomed moderately soft. The last part of the course was bit bumpy and covered with 20-25cm fresh snow.

I could enjoy the fresh snow though it was little heavy. Because the fog covered the slope sometimes so many people waited the fog to disappear and skied down. As I skied down to the southern part of Usagidaira, the run was groomed nicely firm and covered with thin fresh snow.

The fog covered the beginning to the middle part of Riesen Slalom. I got out of the fog as I skied down to Usuba slope. There were many ski tracks on the course by 9:15 a.m. but the quality of snow was so good that I could make the turns comfortably.
