It has still been snowing hard! The steep slope along Sakka Kitaone Quad is one of the most difficult Kitaone courses and it has a maximum slope of 31 degrees. There is plenty of snow as well and I did not find any bushes in the course.

Usually the run gets wet and full of bumps after February but there were 30-35cm of fluffy powder snow this morning and it was in a very good condition. Though there were some bumps underneath and it made the course exciting and made me feel like I wanted try many times.

Not only the experts but also the beginners and children were having fun with the powder snow. Because it was a weekday of January so less Japanese came to ski and 80% of people in Kitaone were Australian and it made me feel as if I have been in a foreign country.

There were 15-20cm of fresh snow on the flat and softly groomed run of Sakka. Even at the bottom part, the snow was soft and light so the beginners were enjoying the powder snow. The Gondola started working at after 8:30a.m. but Usagidaira and Kurobishi was still unavailable even after 10:00 a.m.
