We had a good snowfall from the last evening on the upper areas! It was blowing a strong wind, but the gondola started the operation at 8:00 a.m. on schedule. The temperature was -9 degrees and the wind was very chilly, so I felt so cold this morning.

There were still shrubs exposed in the steep slope along Kurobishi No.3 Pair, but the amount of snow was enough and we did not have to worry about the damage to gears. Today, 30－35cm fresh snow which was slightly compacted by the wind welcomed us. We could enjoy the soft feel of it fully, though some parts under fluffy snow were hard.

The fresh snow was even over may knees at the maximum! We could feel as if we did backcountry skiing along Kurobishi No.3 Pair. The slopes of Usagidaira and along Kurobishi No.2 Quad were groomed well and nicely soft.

The groomed run of Skyline Course was also flat and good to ski. The ungroomed area had 25－30cm fresh snow as well. By the way, we had much less snow in the mountain foot than we expected and the amount was just 5cm…. The total amount of snow is still not enough and Riesen Slalom and Nakiyama are only courses which connect the top and bottom.
