At the upper part of the ski area the strong wind was blowing and Alpen Quad, Kurobishi No.2 Quad, Kurobishi No.3 Pair, Skyline No.2 Pair and Grat Quad were not available. As of 9:00 a.m., only 4 courses, Riesen Slalom, Nakiyama, Panorama and Kitaone, were available. At Kitaone No.3 the wind rarely blew, and the sunshine was comfortable.

The snow had fallen last night, and the amount of the fresh snow at Kitaone Kogen was about 15 cm. Kitaone No.3 was groomed well and nicely soft, but partly it was firm. When I skied skier’s left, the slope was gentle and it was comfortable.

Evergreen Outdoor Center held the lessons for the international visitors. They could ski at their own speed at gentle slopes and kids seemed to enjoy taking lessons.

At Kitaone No.3 the flesh snow was left and some skiers and snowboarders were enjoying the powdery snow. In the early morning, people who skied down to Skyline No.2, including our reporters, could come back to Kitaone Kogen by snowmobile.
