It was typically cold January morning. It was very fine and there was no wind. Beautiful tracks of Pisten at Usagidaira and Kurobishi were impressive. When I stood firm on the course, it sounded nice. I had felt it was in good condition before I started to ski down.

The texture of snow was the best, especially on flat Kurobishi Slope and I could make both wide and sharp turns at will. As soon as it opened at 7:30 am, skiers started to make first tracks as if they were competing.

The center part of Skyline Course was well-groomed and good for skiing down with speed. In addition, there were moguls in order at the non-groomed starting area, so I could ski rhythmically. On Kita-One No.3 Slope, which locates in the middle part, the texture of snow was also good. The flat slope was good for warming up and practicing.

Many people, including skiers from Aichi and Shizuoka who told me “I see your reports every day!”, spoken to me this morning as usual! By the way, the area to play in the snow beside Sakka-Kita-One quad drop-off point has been available since yesterday, Jan.6 (Fri). You can enjoy sledding etc. for free. (※ a round-trip fare of Sakka-Kita-One quad is 1,000 JPY for adults and 700 JPY for children.)
