Finally we have the snowfall! The upper part of the ski area was surrounded with the thick fog, so the visibility became poor. But I was excited of the heavy snow and the touch of the fresh snow. I didn’t feel cold because the temperature was not low and the wind didn’t blow.

The amount of the fresh snow was about 20cm at the non-groomed steep slope along the Alpen Quad lift. The foundation was stiff and ridged, so we needed technique to ski well. The southern side of Usagidaira was groomed well, and the 5cm fresh snow fell on it, which made me to ski more easily.

When I skied down to Panorama course, the visibility got much worse. Without caution, I was likely to lose the sense of balance and lose my way. Maybe due to the humidity of the fresh snow, there were many the ski tracks and the run was very rough.

The snow has still fallen silently and steadily even after 9:00 a.m. Because of winter holiday, many people came out from Usagidaira Terrace constantly. But we didn’t need to wait for a long time to take lifts, so we enjoyed ski comfortably.
