Although New Year Season has started, I could get on Sakka Kitaone Quad Lift smoothly this early morning. The groomed slope of Skyline Course was nicely firm, so I could ski down with high speed. I met members of a large group including 50 people and they said they had a hangover already this morning.

It was blowing a strong wind from the west and it made a storm of snow sometimes at around 8:30 a.m. We could see the blue sky, but the sunlight was blocked off, so I felt cold and my hands got numb soon. In spite of such weather, the ski area was crowded with people.

The corduroy pattern of the slope had been lost in a lot of ski tracks within 1 hour. However, I could turn easily thanks to the nicely firm snow ground. I was impressed by the wide turns with high speed of experts.

All area of Kitaone No.3 was groomed and nicely firm. I found more intermediate skiers and snowboarders here than Kurobishi and Skyline and they were enjoying at their own pace in the wide slope. By the way, Indian Summer Cafe, next to the top station of Sakka Kitaone Quad, has been open since Dec. 25 (Sun).
