It was raining at the foot of the mountain, however, the wet snow was falling at the top. Alpen quad and Kurobishi No.2 quad were not working in the morning because of the strong wind and only Panorama Course was available. People who had left Usagidaira Terrace had been starting to ski and snowboard one after another in the fog, as it was the first day of the three-day weekend.

Panorama Course was compacted, however, there were rise and fall because the amount of snowfall was not enough. Also, there was a thin layer of new wet snow on the wet and firm foundation. So it is a little bit difficult to use the edge. There were many bushes, too. While advanced skiers were skiing down with speed, I saw beginners and intermediate skiers struggling.

Hakuba Happo One Ski School had opened on Dec. 17 (Sat). Applications are now being accepted at the reception desk on the second floor of the Usagidaira Terrace. A child in a family who was coming from Osaka was going to take a permanent lesson for kids all day.

“CORONA ESCAPE TERRACE” that was introduced on Dec. 20 (Tue) will open at 11:00 am at the Usagidaira Terrace. In addition, “Dippin’ Dots Ice Cream” is going to open at the same time. Dippin Dots Ice Cream has its origin in Kentucky in America and the recipe is original. The feature is looking and texture, it is lumpy, powdery and colorful, and it has a completely new flavor.
