The sky was overcast in the west, but the sunlight was casting the soft sunlight. In Happo, I always find people starting to ski and snowboard from the early morning. Today I met an expert skier showing skillful turns and some groups taking ski lessons as well.

The slope in Kurobishi was groomed well and remained in good condition. As two snowboarders from Toyama Pref. said to me, “The slope is much softer than we expected and it is good to snowboard”, we could ski and snowboard comfortably on the nicely soft run. My skies ran well, so I could make high speed turns again and again.

Some of the middle and upper parts of Usagidaira were hard but groomed well. However, the grounds and stones were getting exposed and the patrols erected poles for regulation. The ungroomed slope along Alpen Quad was covered with hard bumps.

Even when the sunlight was blocked off, I did not feel cold because of the warm wind. It rained sometimes, but not get heavily. Three straight holidays will start on Dec. 23 (Fri) and it is forecast to be snowy on the first day, tomorrow.
