The snow calmed down around 9:30a.m., although it was snowing when the resort opened. The sky turned blue and the sun shone around 10 a.m. “Unfortunately, we snowboarded only two runs yesterday. So we’ll snowboard many runs today!”, three snowboarders coming from Osaka said. Hakunori Family Course has closed today and only three courses will open.
[Wakaguri Forest Course]
The non-compacted granular snow was loose and smooth in Wakaguri Central Slope (pictured) and in Wakaguri Rinkan Course (pictured in the upper photo). My skis were stuck a little bit in the 1 cm of wet fresh snow. Meanwhile, an instructor at Hakuba Norikura Ski School were carving smoothly,

About 1cm of fresh snow was nicely loose and wet in Rabbit Course. The ground was partially exposed on the skiers’ left side in the top area, while the slope was fully covered with snow on the skiers’ right side. “We stayed at Hakuba Alps Hotel yesterday. We’re glad that it’s a beautiful day.”, three snowboarders coming from Osaka said.

The ground was partially exposed in Wakaguri Central Slope but it was okay. I had to take my skis off and walk, as there was little snow around the lift station.
