We had a calm sunny day on New Year’ eve. Thanks to the good snow until yesterday, the available areas are expanded now. On Dec. 30 (Fri), Highway, Kamoshika, Satomi Central, Satomi Wakaguri Access Line, Satomi-one were open! People from Kanto and Hakuba Norikura greeted me and said, “We finally find you after looking for you for a long time!”

A family from Miyagi Pref. gave me the watchword, “We always enjoy your reports!” At 10:00 a.m, the snow of Highway Course was getting melting because of the warm sunlight and the slope was a little bumpy. I found some bushes in the lower part of the steep slope, but the view of the peaks from the area was so beautiful that people climbed up one after another.

In Kamoshika Course beneath Highway Course, there were also many bushes. The lower part of Highway Course was covered with soft bumps. Today, I got many greetings from people, such as a snowboarder from Chiba Pref who we meet every year in Hakunori. We sincerely thank you for your help and cheers in this year!!

The parking areas were full at 10:00 a.m. and Alps No.1 Pair had a line. Hakunori Family Course remained soft and flat still, so it is recommended to beginners. By the way, “New Year Hakunori Fireworks” will be held in Wakaguri Central area at 9:00 p.m. on Jan. 1 (Sat)!
