Goryu & 47 / ◎380cm / Sunny & Cloudy2021.Feb.21
Line-8 was moving very slowly due to the hard wind, although it started working on time. It took 25 minutes to get to Sancho Station. The groomed granular snow was too hard on Route 5(pictured) and 6. However, the snow was getting nicely loose when I visited again after an hour.
[Route5]
Today the third Sunday of February was “Ski Children Day”. (= Children at elementary school age or younger can get a free lift ticket.) Thus, the resort was crowded with children and their families. By the way, Line-E (pictured left), Alps No.1 Pair Lift, No.3 Pair Lift, No.2 &4 Pair Lift service was suspended due to the hard wind.
[Route8]
There was a strong west wind from the upper Route8 to Route1 and I was almost blown away. Powder snow was moderately packed on the upper Route8 (pictured)! Meanwhile, about 2~8 cm of new snow was too packed by the wind on Route2.
[Route8]
My ski edges gripped the loose granular snow well on the upper Route1. Meanwhile, the snow was too icy on the lower Route1. Skiers and snowboarders were waiting in line for Line-8 because it was moving slowly. Line-D started working around 9:15 to ease the congestion.
