It was supposed to be a clear day according to the weather forecast, but it was rainy today. The gentle north wind was piercing and trees were coated in rime ice. I saw a group of skiers and snowboarders (pictured). “We check your website regularly! It’s much colder today than we had expected.”, they said.

Packed granular snow was blanketed with about 2 cm of new dry snow on the upper groomed area of Route1 (pictured). I enjoyed skiing fast, straight down from top to bottom, although it was a bit foggy in the upper area.

Route2 (pictured), 5, and 6 also received about 2 cm of new snow over packed granular snow. Lower Route1 was covered with dry artificial snow and there were human-made waves at the bottom.

“MOSS SNOWBOARD Demo” event was held beside Gondola Line-8 Sanroku Station (*starts at 9:30, free event, Identification card required. “We have a variety of snowboard models for next season. Would you like to try? We even have High-End models!”, a staff member said.
