Goryu & 47 / ◎380cm / sunny & cloudy2021.Feb.19

21021901_goryu47A couple from Gunma prefecture (pictured) said, “I’m always watching. The sunny weather after heavy snow is really nice! I’m staying at Hotel Hakuba today and will slide tomorrow.” After being strongly cooled by radiative cooling, the sun pushed up the temperature and it became comfortable by the time the business started.

About 3 cm of “fluffy” fresh snow was piled up on the upper part of Route 1 of moderately soft powdered snow. The appearance of sliding down at a stretch was conspicuous, leaving words such as “the best!” And “feeling good”. At the bottom of Route 1, the swell of the artificial snow on the skiers left was hard, so I was careful not to let the edge come off there.

The Grand Prix course (pictured) and the panorama course of the compressed snow are moderately tight, and they are in the best powder snow condition! I was able to enjoy the powder run on the tenical course with about 30 cm of fluffy fresh snow and the non-compacted snow part along the 3rd pair of the Alps.

The couple saying “I’m always watching” said “I love this ski resort where you can see Mt. Goryu and often come to ski. When I went to Route 2 first thing in the morning, it was snow-packed. The powder that was 40 cm or more on the side of the course I enjoyed it. ” Route 8 (pictured) and Routes 5 & 6 were both moderately soft powdered snow compactions.
