Goryu & 47 / ◎300cm / Snowy2021.Feb.16
We had a typical winter pressure pattern today. The low-pressure system over the Sea of Okhotsk had a central atmospheric pressure of 946 hPa as of 6 am. (※Nemuro, Kushiro, and Abashiri recorded the lowest sea-level pressure.) In Goryu&47, the dry snow was falling even in the lower area.

The strong cold wind was blowing snow when I reached Alps Daira by the first Goryu Telecabin. I had poor visibility in the fog. About 15~18 cm of powder snow was moderately packed on Grand Prix Course as the course Grand Prix Course had just received snow in the early morning (pictured).

About 25~30 cm of fresh snow was ungroomed along Alps No.3 Pair Lift (pictured) and on Technical Course. The snow was softly packed by the wind. “I wonder how many more times we can have this quality powder snow.”, a season pass holder said.
[Grand Prix Course]
The granular snow was firmly packed on the lower Dynamic Course. Toomi Slope was crowded (pictured), while the others were not. I enjoyed carving tracks on the 2~3 cm of untouched fresh snow on Powder Course around 9 am.
