Panorama Course at Hakuba Goryu and the upper part of Route 8 at Hakuba47 are now open! Goryu Telecabin started working on time at 8:15. I got off the telecabin to find the whole place covered with powder snow and ice and shrouded in fog, which made me excited.

The compacted Panorama Course was covered with 1~2 cm of soft, dry, fresh snow, which was great without any bush. The fresh snow was 50~60 cm deep on the non-compacted part on skier’s right side. I went straight down, enjoying a floating feeling for the first time in a while.

The slope was crowded with people looking for the 100% natural snow, however, there was no waiting line. The upper part of Route 8 got available after 10:30 as the Line-E started operation 30 mins late.

For your information, Grand Prix Course at Goryu, the upper part of R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, and R8 at Hakuba47 will open tomorrow, on December 7 (Sat). Thank you for waving and speaking to me today, from the first day. Please enjoy our reports!
