It was sunny and calm morning. Ikenota got crowded with high-school students joining in skiing lessons and a lots of tracks were left, as it opened at 8:30 a.m.. It was firm and nice, however, the surface started to get wet in an hour because of sunlight.

I enjoyed a beautiful view of mountains in the northeast after got off No.4 Pair Lift. I saw some people taking pictures with their smartphones. The nicely firm slope was in very good condition. I felt bracing when I skied down the course under the beautiful weather.

I enjoyed turning as freely as I wanted at Itadaira Course, which was throughly compacted. There were some intermediate and advanced skiers in the early morning. Sometimes I enjoyed the whole slope on my own when it wasn’t so crowded. As the slope faces the east, the snow gradually got wet.

Ipponmatsu Course was the best this morning. Powder snow was nicely firm, and I enjoyed both long and short turns. Besides, there was no waiting line for the lifts since it was a weekday. I was able to try again and again smoothly.
