SUBWAY is open daily, from 7:00 am this season. Until 9:00 am, “morning menu” is available and you have a choice of Caesar Chicken Wrap Sandwich (500 JPY) or Avocado & Veggie Sandwich (450 JPY). Regular menu is available after 9:00 am. I recommend hot Tandoori Chicken which is provided only in Goryu (550 JPY) and mild Coarse-ground Sausage (550 JPY).

By the way, at the slope…, the weather forecast saying it would be snowy was proved wrong and it had been raining hard since last night. Route 5 and 6 were not compacted and there were patches in which ice layer of remaining snow was transparent.

Grand Prix Course was compacted roughly. Because there was a gentle rise and fall and the texture of snow was not good, containing water, the edge become unstable when I tried to stamp and ski down with speed. I saw even advanced skiers losing their balance and falling. Panorama Course and the upper part of Route 8 were well-compacted, and they were good to ski if there had been no drop of water sticking to the goggles.

There were small moguls on the Route 2. There was no problem with it, however, skiing down was a little bit difficult because of the heavy snow and bushes in places. Route 3 and lower part of Route 8 were closed today because the snow was melting rapidly.
