“1st Powder Festival” of 2018 was a huge success thanks to the heavy snowfall during the New Year’s holiday and last night. The visitors, who were waiting in a long line for No.4 Pair Lift, got excited as the starting time approached.
[No.4 Pair Lift]
No.4 Pair Lift was delayed by 5 minutes due to the strong wind that blew sometimes. So, people waiting in a line shouted with glee as the announcement was made that the lift was going to start. It had snowed since yesterday afternoon and there were sometimes blizzard while I was on the lift this morning.

The upper area of the slope was shrouded in a fog, however, it was thinned until the first skiers reached the top. There was 25-30 cm of new snow on non-groomed steep slope of Mt. Hieda 2. Although there were ups and downs but the snow was light and soft so I fully enjoyed the floating feeling.

Tree Area, which was under the No.4 Pair Lift, was also crowded. People riding on the lift were praising skiers who skied down, raising a cloud of snow. I appreciate everybody talking to me today. In addition, I apologize to a party of two from Azumino city and Osaka, and a party of three from Osaka for not publishing their photos, although they posed for the camera.
