The snowfall from the early morning got heavier and heavier as time passsed. The steep slope of Warabi-daira was groomed narrowly and nicely firm. A couple from Toyama Pref. greeted me and said, “We see your reports many times a day!!” after skiing down the ungroomed area.

Because we had not so much snow last night, so I saw only a few people from abroad today, so I didn’t have to wait for getting on No.4 Pair. Mt. Hieda Course 1 was covered with irregular shallow bumps, but they were soft. Itadaira Course was quiet and the fresh groomed run remained as it was for a long while.

Rabbit Course and Snake Course was crowded with people and those slopes were nicely groomed. I met a group from Niigata Pref. and they said this was the first time to come here. They looked to be satisfied and told me, “Cortina is very excited!”

Kids Park got busy at around 9:00 a.m. and children play with sledges in Sledge Course one after another. At 10:00 a.m, it took 5 minutes to get on No.2 Quad and there were a lot of people in Ikenota. It was still snowing heavily after that.
