It had been snowing heavily since the last night and we had an expected POWDAY!! There was over 60cm deep snowfall in the upper areas and especially, the fresh snow over my waist still remained in Self-responsibility Areas. In the spot, we could enjoy skiing and snowboarding through the trees easily like back-country skiing.

The groomed slope of Rabbit Course was also covered with 35－40cm fresh snow. The slope under the snow was flat and soft, so we could ski in the fluffy snow comfortably. A skier from Osaka said, “I have decided to come skiing today absolutely!!”

As might have been expected, Hakuba Norikura still had fresh powdery snow even at around 11:30 a.m. However, all slopes had over 30cm fresh snow, so they were in difficult condition to beginners today.

The upper part of Highway Course had soft bamps already because of many ski tracks. Mogul Course was covered with the deep snow, so it was under maintenance in this morning. By the way, it is forecast to be snowy tomorrow and the day after tomorrow as well!!
