ASAMA2000 / △30cm / Sunny2016.Nov.27

In honsyu, on Nov.24 (Thu) Kumanoyu, on Nov.25 (Fri) Kagura and on Nov.26 (Sat), ASAMA2000, Yunomaru, Shikazawa and Minowa has opened with natural and artificial snow in addition to the ski resort with artificial snow! When I went to the ASAMA2000, I could see the Southern Alps, Mt. Fuji and a field of clouds to the south. The road was frozen and there was a snowfall in the early morning. So the chain or studless-tire were necessary.
[Cherry Park Line]
As soon as No.2 quad started at 8:30, skiers standing in a long line at the lift terminal began to make a beautiful track on the well prepared course. The temperature was minus 4 degree Celsius and moderately cold under the cloudless blue sky. So it was an ideal day for skiing.
[Stage2]
Stage2 for intermediate and advanced skiers (500m, maximum 25° average 22°) is available. The amount of snow was not so much, however, it was covered well with artificial snow. So there was no bush in the course 30 to 40m wide. The majority were advanced skiers and I saw many skiers turning with speed.

The course got rough as early as 10 am, however, I can enjoy skiing thanks to the soft snow. The number of skiers continued to increase and waiting time for lifts was sometimes over 15 minutes. Note that there is a courtesy bus that runs to ASAMA 2000 Park from JR Karuizawa-Station. (Reservation is required by 2 days before)
