Tsugaike Nature Park / Cloudy & Sunny 2021.Jun.21
The state of emergency declared in 10 prefectures was lifted on June 20 (Sun). Today, I met about just 10 people while waiting for the first ropeway lift. The thin clouds covering the sky were breaking up gradually and we could see the peaks of Northern Alps clearly from Tenbo Marsh (Photo) at 10:15 a.m.

Murasakiyatsuotsutsuji (Photo) and Okamenoki were blooming beautifully in the trail from Tenbo Marsh to Yase-one where the snow had already disappeared. I could also find Shiraneaoi, Iwakagami and Shojobakama around my feet. There were 4 spots that were covered with snow for about 10 to 30 meters long in the trail from Ukishima and Tenbo Marsh. The half of the route from Ukishima Marsh to Yase-one was still under the remaining snow.

Mizubasho passed its peak season in Mizubasho Marsh, but 80-90% of them were still blooming well in Watasuge Marsh (Photo). In the west side of Ukishima Marsh, I found more and more yellow flowers of Ryukinka and bigger ones of Shinanokinbai as well.

The blue sky started to spread out as time passed. 4 people from Kanagawa Pref. (Photo) talked, “Both the weather and views are amazing! We will enjoy the beginning of summer in Hakuba for a few days.” Mizubasho Marsh was getting very busy around the noon today.
