Tsugaike Nature Park / Sunny & Cloudy2020.Aug.06
In the west side of Mizubasho Marsh, I found these deep red and brown flowers of Kurobanarouge (Photo). This is the only one species of Comarum Genus (Kurobanarouge in Japanese, as known as Purple Marshlocks) which can be seen in Japan. Additionally, these rare alpine plants are living only in this nature park in Nagano Prefecture. Onishiogama was also increasing its amounts of flowers in that marsh.

We had a beautiful morning today, although the sky was slightly hazy. The typical summer weather without even breezes made me sweaty very quickly. By the way, Tsugaike Ropeway is under the limitation of passenger capacity from 71 to 30 people at once due to the pandemics. However, it runs extra lines when it gets busy to avoid the crowded situation at the bottom station.

In Ukishima Marsh, I could find a lot of flowers of Watasuge, Otakarakou, Ibukitoranoo and Onishimotsuke. When I reached Yase-one ridge, the cool breeze came up and cooled me down refreshingly. Around there, Hotsutsuji (Photo), Hakusanominaeshi and Akabanashimotsukesou were in their good season and Sobana just started to bloom.

After that, the summits of Northern Alps had gone behind clouds at 8:30 a.m. and the weather got likely to be cloudy in the nature park. On the routes to each marsh, Miyamaakinokirinsou, Karamatsusou, Iwashobu and Gozentachibana caught our eyes.
