Tsugaike Nature Park / Sunny & Cloudy2020.Aug.03
The rainy season finally ended in Kanto-Koshinetsu region on Saturday, August 1! On the following day, August 2 (Sun), I could see the blue sky in the clouds for the first time in a while. Nikko Kisuge were at their peak around Ukishima Marsh (pictured) and Ginmeisui. In Mizubasho Marsh and Watasuge Marsh, Nikko Kisuge were almost gone, while Otakarako, Onishimotsuke, and Onishiogama were blooming.

There were flowers of Tateyama Rindo (pictured), Iwaicho, and Karamatsuso around the marshes. I also saw flowers of Gozen Tachibana, Hotsutsuji, and Ginryoso in the shade, and Shinano Otogiri and Hakusan Furo in the sun in the forest.

In Mizubasho Marsh, some children were taking part in “Let’s explore nature and become a photographer!” activity, one of the main activities of “MIKKETA!” program (pictured: a local boy in Hakuba Village.). The program costs 1,300 yen and no booking is required. Please feel free to participate depending on the weather or your schedule.

I went to Tenbo Marsh, taking the first Gondola leaving at 6:30 am and the ropeway. Unfortunately, I could not see the ridge of Ushiro Tateyama Mountain Ridge because the clouds were rising too fast. I’d like to visit again in a few days after the ground dries.
