Tsugaike Nature Park / Cloudy & Rainy2020.Jul.09
It has been over 2 weeks since the last report of Tsugaike. We had heavy rainy days during this period and that rain made all the snow on the wooden walkway including even around Huketsu disappear. It also quickened the increase of the alpine plants’ varieties and amounts. The whole area of Mizubasho Marsh was covered with fresh leaves and the bright yellow flowers of Miyamakinpouge (Photo) stood out there.

Iwaicho and Koiwakagami which were blooming their cute flowers in Mizubasho and Ukishima Marsh caught our eyes as well. Especially, Kinugasasou (Photo) is really impressive with its huge petals. Some of them had slightly pink flowers.

The nature park was in fogs sometimes and the temperature was kept cool, around 14 degrees, from the morning to the noon. In Yase-one ridge, we could find Gozentachibana and Gunnaifuro in the visionary landscape. By the way, the public toilet near Kusugawa River is available from July 6th (Mon).

Kurotsuribana is one of the topics now, because we have never seen the trees having such a lot of flowers (Photo) in these 2 decades. We have a perfect year of Mizubasho and Kurotsuribana this year. Also, now is the good season to enjoy those flowers of Karamatsusou, Benibanaichigo, Maizurusou and Mitsubaouren (*Nikokisuge has just bloomed recently). Tsugaike-sanso Hut closed to Visitor Center started the usual operation again on June 20th (Sat) and the restaurant is also open. Tsugaike Hutte will be open on June 15th (Wed).
