Tsugaike Nature Park / Sunny2020.Jun.24
In Tsugaike Natural Park, the area of the remaining snow has decreased drastically in the past week, and all routes including the northern side of the Watasuge Marsh have been opened. In the morning of 6/23 (Tuesday), it was a sunny day with a deep blue sky, contrary to the forecast. Although the temperature was as low as +17℃ as of 9 o’clock, I felt the heat in the strong sunshine.

A refreshing breeze was blowing from the route near the wind hole surrounded by trees to the Watasuge Wetland. A couple from Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture said, “The travel restrictions that cross the prefecture were lifted on June 19 (Friday), so we came to Tsugaike Natural Park, avoiding the densely populated urban areas. It’s the best!”

The peak of Ryukinka has passed a little along the wooden path on the west side of the Ukishima Marsh, and the yellow of Shinanokinbai (photograph) has become prominent so that it may be replaced. The Mizu Basho, which had been in full bloom in the Mizu Basho Wetland and Watasuge Wetland last week, reached the end, and it was a little seen on the eastern route of the Mizu Basho Wetland and the Ukishima Wetland.

Three people from Nagano said, “I’m always watching! I’ve climbed Karamatsudake, Hiuchiyama, and Takatsumayama so far this season. Today I’m going to Hakuba Oike on a day trip.” They went down the mountain trail. Hakuba Oike Sanso is open from Wednesday, July 15th. Plenty of snow still remains on the eastern slope of Hakuba Norikura and around Hakuba Oike.
