Tomorrow, October 31 (Thu), is the final day at Tsugaike Area, including WOW! and Tsugaike Panorama Way (Tsugaike Nature Park and Trail to Hakuba Oike), during the green season. The temperature was +16 degrees at 10:30 a.m. in front of Gondola Chukan Station. It was warm this morning and I felt like taking off my jacket, although the clouds sometimes hid the sun.

Only Amidasu and Konayuki Cafe were open in WOW!, which were empty in the morning. I saw the staff was doing inspection work quickly even at the unstable points.

For your information, WOW! will reopen as SNOW WOW! in mid December (depending on the amount of snow). Amidasu will open and various snow toys, including snow tubes, will be prepared during winter. Everyone will enjoy the winter Tsugaike Kogen, even if you are not good at skiing or snowboarding.

Kogidasu has been closed this season because of the maintenance, although it opened only four days in September for a limited number of people. Meanwhile, Tobidasu is under repair at the moment as the wire to support the slope got crooked due to the typhoon No.19. The incline was being adjusted finely this morning by sliding the unmanned tube.

Autumn leaves were beautiful in the lower area, especially at Shirakaba Slope. The whole area will be closed after November 1 (Fri) until Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort will open in the end of Novemnber, depending on the amount of snow. The slopes looked ready for the snow with the grass mown.
