We had heavy rain late last night but it stopped and the blue sky stretched out this morning. According to the weather forecast, it will be sunny over the weekend and most of the people in the first 7 a.m. – ropeway headed for Hakuba Oike. Tsugaike Nature Park started to get crowded with families and groups around 9:30 a.m. (shown in the photo).

Fresh flowers of Kurumayuri were blooming in the summer sunlight on the route between Mizubasho Marsh and Ginmeisui (shown in the photo). I also found Ibuki Torano and Otakarako around Ukishima Marsh.

I got a fine view of Hakuba Sanzan, Mt. Korenge and Mt. Hakuba Norikura around Mizubasho Marsh and Ukishima Marsh in the early morning. However, unfortunately, the ridge of the Northern Alpes was almost covered with the rising clouds when I reached Tenbo Marsh around 8:20 a.m.

I found Karamatsuso, Otogiriso, Obatake Shimaran and Ohyo Tanboku on the route connecting each Marsh. My eyes were also caught by yellow flowers of Hakusan Ominaeshi trembling in the breeze on the southern slope of Yase Ridge (shown in the photo).

The clear blue sky stretched out the next day too, on Aug. 4 (Sun). Hakuba Oike was crowded with mountain climbers and I saw colorful tents set up at the campsite in front Hakuba Oike Sanso.
