Autumn tints were at their peak in Tsugaike Nature Park (with about 80% of the leaves changing colors). I hurried to Watasuge Marsh, being careful not to slip on the trail which got wet because of the rain until yesterday. I was really impressed with the trees standing in front of me with red and yellow leaves as well as Kuromamenoki with red leaves near the foot.

I had a view of the Northern Alps at dawn. However, it was already covered with clouds around 9:20 a.m. when I passed Kusugawa-river since clouds came up fast. After a while, the sun appeared again, which lighted surroundings. On my way, I found Nanakamado near the bench where I could look over Watasuge Marsh (shown in the photo). I guess it will turn completely red in a few days.

Autumn tints were at their best now in Ukishima Marsh. Although Mt. Hakuba was already behind the clouds, I saw people coming to the bench one after another and taking scenic shots.

Clouds appeared more and more, which sometimes blocked sunlight casting over the mountain slope. “It’s great to come here on sunny days but it’s also great to come on cloudy days like this morning”, a visitor from Nagano city said.

Autumn leaves around Mt. Korenge were the most beautiful. The route going to Tenbo Marsh far away from Ukishima Marsh via Yase Ridge has been closed from Jul.10 (Tue) until Oct. 26 (Fri) due to the repair of the trail. I appreciate many people, including the visitor from Nagano city, talking to me today.
