The season of autumn leaves have come to Tsugaike Nature Park almost same pace as last year. The blue sky spread from around 7 a.m. and it became an ideal day for trekking. About 50–60% of leaves have changed the color from Ukishima Marsh (altitude 1920 m) to Tenbo Marsh (2010 m).

It rained a lot after September and I was worried of the damage of leaves. The leaves of Nanakamado, which turn into the color early, are beautiful, especially in Ukishima Marsh.

For overall, For overall, yellow leaves are stand out as the first half of autumn season. Many mountain climbers are making line for the first ropeway in the morning because the weather forecast was good. The nature park was started to crowd from 9:30 a.m. and there were also many families.

The sunlight was strong but the air was cool, wind blew nicely and I could walk comfortably without sweating. The clouds started to rise after 10 a.m. and sometimes the sunlight was blocked.

About 30–40% of leaves have changed the color in Mizubasho Marsh (altitude 1860 m) and Watasuge Marsh (altitude 1870 m). Best period will be next weekend where “Tsugaike Autumn Festival” will be held from Sep. 29 (Sat). On Sep. 29 (Sat) & 30 (Sun), treat of mushroom miso soup and amazake (from 11 a.m.–) will be held. By the way, Central Parking Area was full at 11 a.m..
