There is admission free Tsugaike Visitor Center at the entrance of Tsugaike Nature Park. The center was renewed last year and the displayed items were computerized. You can get the information of the alpine flowers and animals by touchscreen. There are

“Wakuwaku Wall” (bouldering wall) with auto belay is also available for free. There is also rental shoes (JPY100) and rental harness (JPY200) is required to people who climb above the blue line.

There is “Dokidoki Rope” (slacklining) in front of the wall and the autumn scenery of Tsugaike Nature Park was on the screen around. There is “Photo Spot” behind that and you can take the photos with the scenery in the background. You can print (JPY300) the photos or download from the website.

Rest area is in Tsugaike Theater. You can bring food and drink so, you can take lunch here. The vending machine is located in the side of the room and you can drink green tea and water for free. And in the window side, there are two free pc, which are connected to internet.

An autumnal rain front is lingering over Japan again and after Typhoon No.21 and it was raining from the morning. But the boardwalk from Mizubasho Marsh and Tsugaike Marsh was maintained well and I could walk comfortably. I walked enjoying the great nature and the sound of rain and the stream.
