Tsugaike Nature Park / Cloudy2018.Jul.11
The weather was fine and hot at the village for yesterday and today. When I climbed up to Tsugaike Nature Park, it became cloudy. The temperature was +17°C and it was cool and comfortable. The snow was fully thawed at Mizubasho Marsh and it was a summer sight full of vivid flowers and grasses.

Kobaikeisou and Miyamakinpouge (in photo) are in full bloom and their white and yellow flowers are stood out inside the green. Iwakagami and Iwaichou are also bloomed in the marsh. I was also impressed by Kinugasasou blooming along the trail to Watasuge Marsh.

It got bright as the sun started to shine around 10 a.m.. But the sky was covered with clouds and the marsh was sometimes foggy. Watasuge, which were got wet with yesterday’s rain, were blooming in a wide range between Mizubasho Marsh and Ukishima Marsh.

Nikkoukisuge, one of major summer alpine flowers, were starting to bloom in Watasuge Marsh and Ukishima Marsh. Especially, there were many buds in Ukishima Marsh. For your information, Nikkoukisuge were in full bloom in late July last year.

The nature park got lively after 10:30 a.m. and many people were taking rest at the bench of Ukishima Marsh. Not only Kinugasasou but many white flowers such as Maizurusou (in photo), Tsumatorisou and Sankayou were blooming along the trails between the marshes. By the way, the trail from Ukishima Marsh via Yase-one to Tenbou Marsh, is closed from July 10 to Oct. 26 because of repair work of the boardwalk.
