Tsugaike Nature Park / Sunny2018.Jun.22
“Mizubasho Festival”, which is held until Jun.24 (Sun), has started today. In front of Tsugaike Sanso, Miso-soup with nemagari-take (bamboo shoot), Sansai (wild plants) and boiled mackerel was served. There will be a pounding rice event and rice cake will be served tomorrow and day after tomorrow. There will also be a booth for local goods.

Mizubasho at Mizubasho Marsh was still at their peak as the temperature had been low these days. There were many people visiting even though it was a weekday. I saw more than half of them holding cameras in their hands.

The sunlight was strong but sometimes the gentle breeze blew, which was cool and nice. Ladies from Omachi City and Matsukawa Village, Nagano Pref., were walking together and taking photos of each other.

There was some snow left on the trail between the marshes. The snow surface was melting and slippery due to sunlight. Slope between Ukishima Marsh and Ginmeisui were especially slippery. I saw some people losing balance even if they walked carefully.

I saw Benibana-ichigo (in the photo) and Sankayo blooming along the trail between Ropeway Summit Station and Tsugaike Nature Park. Yellow flowers of Miyama-kinpoge were also getting beautiful together with Ryukinka at Mizubasyo Marsh and Ukishima Marsh. Meanwhile, there were lots of flowers of Shiraneaoi along the route to Ukishima Marsh.
