Tsugaike Nature Park / Sunny2016.Oct.30
It was forecast to be snowy yesterday and Facebook pages of Mt. Okuhotaka (3,190m) and Mt. Yarigatake (3,180m) said that there was snowdall in the peaks, so I climbed up by gondola, expecting the first snow view in this season. There were thin snowfall in the upper part from the summit station of Tsugaike gondola. The marshes in Tenguppara were frozen over.

I walked very carefully because the wooden paths and rocks were slippy. After climibing the east face of Mt. Hakuba Norikura, I found the peaks of Myoko covered with snow, especially Mt. Hiuchi (2,462m) and Mt. Yakedake.

It was blowing a strong wind, so I took a rest behind a big rock. The north face of Mt. Hakuba (2,932m) were also covered with snow. The mountains showed various looks at the turn of the season.

I was impressed by the frozen pine trees. I met snow grouses which had already change into white for Winter. I and some people agreed with someone, saying “The winter has already come as soon as the autumn leaves fallen.”

The sky got to spread out in the afternoon. We had a strong sunlight and a cold wind in the summit area of Mt. Hakuba Norikura (2,469m). We have a lot of things to do for the winter season, such as changing tires and clothing.
