Tsugaike Nature Park / Sunny & Cloudy2016.Oct.20

16102001_tsugaikeThe trees around the intermediate station of Tsugaike Gondola Lift had started to turn into yellow finally. By the way, on Oct. 22 (Sat) and 23 (Sun), “Tsuga Fes” will be held in Snow Square and 14 food and outdoor gear shops will be open. You can also enjoy paragliding (JPY6,000) and Fat Bike (Adult JPY500, Child JPY200).

16102002_tsugaikeIt was foggy in the middle and upper part along the gondola and I could see fantastic views of Autumn tints and mist. The trees around the summit station had already started to wither. The faces under Tsugaike Ropeway made us feel sign of the winter.

16102003_tsugaikeThe clouds had not risen up over Tsugaike Nature Park. It was blowing a wind but not chilly with the sunlight, so I did not feel cold. A shirt with long sleeves and underwear were enough in this morning.

16102004_tsugaikeThe clouds were moving fast, blew by the wind, and the peaks of Northern Alps went behind them after 9:00 a.m. All leaves had fallen from the trees and the faces were covered with white birch trunks and green bamboo leaves. Around 10:30 a.m, the clouds started to block off the sunlight.

16102005_tsugaikeThe yellow leaves of larches still remained in Yase-one, the further part of the park. The wind from the valley was very cold like that of early winter. Now is “Villager’s Day” (Oct.17-Oct. 23), so I met many people from Hakuba and Otari.
