Tsugaike Nature Park / Cloudy2016.Aug.31
While we had expected to see the blue sky after the typhoon, it was overcast in Tsugaike Nature Park. It was very cool and the temperature was just 13 degrees around 9:00 a.m. Many people were wearing shirts with long sleeves or jackets today.

The harvest season has come and the alpine flowers start to bear seeds. Especially, the red seeds of Niwatoko were very bright, which are used in dishes and folk medicine.

I still needed my jacket even when I climbed up to Ukishima Marsh because of the gloomy weather. The grass changed its color more and more yellow and brown. Almost all of Iwashobu also turned into red and Kuromamenoki bore a lot of berries like blueberry. The number of white and cute Umebachisou had decreased.

There were many flowers of genera Cirsium along the wooden paths. The sky got brightening and the sunlight was cast sometimes after 10:00 a.m.
