We had a cool morning with the overcast sky. From Nature Park Sta. of Tsugaike Ropeway, we could see the sea of clouds in the east. The peak season has already started and more people got on the first ropeway than usual today.

The alpine flowers in the nature park were in their best now. I found lively flowers of Hiougiayame and Miyamakinpouge. Kurumayuri (Photo) showed its beautiful orange petals as well.

In Watasuge Marsh, a lot of Nikkokisuge bloomed all together. Besides, more and more Watasuge (Cotton Glass) put out the cotton heads. Today, I met many people including tour groups and they enjoyed taking photos of lovely alpine flowers along the wooden path.

Now, one of the best points of flowers is the marsh before Ginmeisui. Nikkokisuge were blooming beautifully in colonies like yellow carpets. On the way to Tenbou Marsh, I found many other alpine flowers, such as Gozentachibana, Karamatsusou, and Akamono.

Around 9:30 a.m. when I got to Tenbou Marsh, I could see Northern Alps with remaining snow. However, after that, it got raining before 11:00 a.m, and some people opened umbrellas. During the rainy season, it is better to bring rain gears.
