Large snowflakes were falling silently. There was no wind. “I look forward to your reports. I’m off today. I’m staying at my parents’ home in Nagano City.”, a skier from Tokyo, who was the first to arrive in Carving Slope, said.

I enjoyed skiing down in the compacted snow, covered with about 10 cm of soft fresh snow in Carving Slope. “I look forward to your reports! I often come to Hakuba Sanosaka this season because I won a HAKUBA VALLEY ticket.”, a local skier who lives in Hakuba village (pictured) said.

The fresh snow was about 25 cm deep, which was much deeper than I had expected. The slope was smooth and I enjoyed powder snow, although I felt the bottom a bit. The firmly compacted snow was covered with 5~10 cm of fresh snow in Paradise Slope and Paradise Downhill, which was nice.

The firmly compacted snow was covered with about 10 cm of fresh snow in Lake Down Course and Family Course (pictured). “We look forward to your reports! This is the first time seeing Snownavi-san this season. We often come to Sanosaka over weekends. Sanosaka is our favorite.”, two skiers from Saitama said (pictured).
