Hakuba Iwatake / ◎200cm / Sunny2021.Feb.06
The Northern Japan Alps was sometimes hidden in the moving clouds in the upper area (pictured). It was warm in Iwatake (1,290 meters), although we somtimes had a strong wind. In the early morning, the sun disappeared behind clouds.
[South]
The snow was soft packed on East Slope (pictured)! I enjoyed gaining slope on the groomed run with the corduroy pattern. The powder snow was moderately packed on the upper area of South Slope (pictured in the first photo), while the granular snow was a bit icy on the lower area.
[East]
I found the snow granular around Rouka on my way to Gondola Sanroku Station. The snow was hard and there were some snowballs on the upper Sunny Valley Course. Meanwhile, the powder and granular snow was tightly packed on the lower area (pictured). For your information, Chuo high-speed Lift starts its operation at 8 am on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays (pictured).
[Sunny Valley Course]
The powder run was tightly packed with some ups and downs on the north-facing Sawa Course. The ungroomed snow on Hikage Course was covered with 10~15 cm of new snow yesterday. By the way, about 70% area was full as of 9 am in Parking Lot#1.
