Iwatake DC Park is open in Iwatake today! A father of a family living in Hakuba talked, “We always check your reports! Today is exactly the day with the perfect weather and snow! DC Park looks exciting as well.”

As he talked, we had an amazing day today with the bright sunlight and no winds. A student taking a lesson at Hakuba Iwatake Snowboard School (Photo) gave me a greeting, “I always check your reports! I just started snowboarding recently, so I will take this lesson hard!” The groomed slope of East was nicely firm and good for cruising.

VIEW C and VIEW D (Photo) were also in good condition with its nicely firm groomed snow. Those areas were quiet, so we could enjoy skiing at my own pace in the scenic area. By the way, the gondola was late for the open until 8:45 a.m. since the wires of the gondola lifts got frozen due to the coldness this morning.

I met the owner of Nikumasa, a steak restaurant in Misorano, and he talked, “I always enjoy your reports! I felt the waiting time for the gondola for 45 minutes so long since the snow and weather looked very nice this morning.” While I skied down to the bottom area from the upper part, the snow condition remained good with the nicely firm snow in South, Sunny Valley and Paradise.
