Hakuba Iwatake / ◎210cm / Snowy2021.Jan.19
5-sen South, 4-sen East, Sawa Lift, and View2 were delayed due to snow removal work in the morning. The groomed powder snow was soft on Sunny Valley Course (pictured)! “We check your website regularly. We visited Hakunori yesterday and came to Iwatake today. Iwatake is our favorite in Hakuba area!”, two snowboarders from Tokyo said.

We had poor visibility in blowing snow on the top area of Snow Field. Gondola was temporarily suspended. Meanwhile, it was not so windy between Rouka and the base area.

The upper area of Snow Field was covered with about 25 cm of new snow. The snow was hard-packed by the wind in the Hilltop area. In the upper area of Paradise Slope, the ungroomed snow was nicely packed, blanketed with about 20 cm of fresh snow. The groomed powder snow was also nicely packed on Paradise Slope (pictured).

“We check your website regularly. We often come to Hakuba area. We’ve visited Happo, Goryu and Kashimayari this season.”, two skiers coming from Matsumoto City (pictured) said. Lift service, except for Kamo1, 4-sen East, and Sawa lift, were suspended after 10:40 due to the strong wind.
